These terms explain, in plain words, what this site is and what it is not. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use this site to request a referral.
What this site is
FoundationNear runs this website. We write plain explanations of foundation problems, repair methods and cost factors. We list cities and services where referrals are available. We connect a caller with an independent local provider who covers that area.
We do not own a repair crew. We do not inspect homes ourselves. We do not issue permits. We do not supervise a job site. We do not rank providers on this site by payment.
Information on this site is general, not professional advice
Information on this site is general information only. It is not professional advice for your home. It does not replace an on site assessment by a qualified provider, an engineer, or another professional where one is needed.
Foundation problems vary by soil, foundation type, water, weather and past work. A description on this site cannot tell you what your home needs. Use the information here to ask better questions and to judge a provider's written scope, not as a diagnosis or a repair plan.
We do not give legal advice about permits, disclosure or property sales. City pages name a real permit office and link to it. They do not replace that office's rules or a lawyer's advice for your case.
Repair work is agreed directly between you and the provider
Any repair work is agreed directly between you and the independent local provider. That provider assesses your home, gives a written scope and price, and performs any work you agree to. No work should start until you have agreed to a scope and price in writing.
FoundationNear is not a party to that agreement. We do not set the scope, schedule or price for a job. We do not collect payment for repair work. You decide whether to accept a provider's scope, decline it or seek another quote.
We are not responsible for a provider's work, pricing or licensing
FoundationNear is not responsible for a provider's work, pricing or licensing. The provider is responsible for its own licensing, pricing and work quality. The provider is responsible for any inspection, permit and repair on your home.
If a provider makes a claim about its own license or history, that claim belongs to that provider. Ask that provider to prove it. Ask for a written scope, a written price and a written schedule before work starts. Ask what permits and inspections apply, and who handles them.
Privacy
See our privacy policy at /privacy/ for how we handle information you share with this site. That policy covers this website only. It does not cover a provider's website, a provider's forms or a provider's privacy practices. When you are connected to a provider, ask that provider for its own privacy policy.

Common questions
Does using this site mean FoundationNear will repair my foundation?
No. FoundationNear is a free referral service, not a contractor. Any repair work is agreed directly between you and the independent local provider we connect you with. FoundationNear does not perform the work.
Where can I read how FoundationNear handles information I share?
See our privacy policy at /privacy/. That policy explains, in plain words, what this site collects and why. It covers this website only, not a provider's website, forms or privacy practices.
