FoundationNear is a free referral service. We are not a contractor. We connect callers with independent local pros. We do not do the work ourselves.
We may be paid per call or per lead by the pro who receives your referral. There is no cost to you for the referral. That payment is between FoundationNear and the provider. It is not a fee charged to you for the referral.
That payment model is a conflict to disclose plainly. A provider who pays for referrals has a commercial interest in receiving calls. That does not prove a provider is good or bad. Judge a provider on its own scope, price, licensing proof and references, not only on the fact that we connected you.
The steps, in order
1. You request a quote
Request a free quote using the quote button on this page. Describe the signs you see, your city and your foundation type if you know it. The clearer your notes, the easier it is for a provider to plan an assessment.
2. We connect you
We connect you with an independent local provider for your area. We do not send our own crew. We do not inspect your home ourselves. We do not choose the repair method for you.
3. The pro assesses and quotes
The provider contacts you, schedules an assessment and looks at your home. The provider then gives a written scope and price. That scope should state the method, materials, pier count if relevant, access work and finish work.
4. You decide
You decide whether to accept that scope, decline it or seek another quote. No work should start until you have agreed to a scope and price in writing. If a scope is unclear, ask for it to be rewritten in plain words before you approve it.
What we do not do
We do not repair foundations. We do not own a repair crew. We do not stock piers, beams or wall braces. We do not inspect homes ourselves. We do not issue permits. We do not supervise a job site.
We are not a licensing body. We are not a warranty provider for a provider's work. We do not claim a license, a review score or a team. If a provider makes a claim about its own license or history, that claim belongs to that provider. Ask that provider to prove it.
What to check before you agree
Ask what license or registration applies to your job in your city and state. Ask for the license number and the issuing body, then check it if you can. Ask whether the provider carries insurance that applies to this work, and what it covers.
Ask for a written scope, a written price and a written schedule. Ask who will be on site, who supervises and what happens if hidden damage is found. Ask what permits and inspections apply, and who handles them.
For a large job, compare at least two scopes. Look for differences in pier count, pier depth, method, drainage work and finish work. Ask each provider to explain any difference in plain words.

Common questions
Does FoundationNear do foundation repair work?
No. FoundationNear does not do repair work, and we do not send our own crew to your home. We connect you with an independent local provider. That provider assesses your home, quotes the work and performs any work you agree to. The provider is responsible for its own licensing, pricing and work quality.
Does a referral cost me anything?
No. There is no cost to you for the referral. You pay the provider only for work you agree to, at a price you agree to in writing. Ask the provider for a written scope and price before work starts.
